Bright Fall Colors
Quick burst of exquisite timing
travel local project loops, dancing.
Today we move trail prunings
closer to burn pile, staging.
Everything to do, nothing to get done,
The weather calls the chore, alert senses.
Heavy hemp pants and jacket morning,
speaks saw work, early, well fed.
A break after clearing and falling,
reveals future priorities, opportunities.
Sequence is complex, in four dimensions,
work moves best within multitudes.
Considerations can be fleeting but
less so embedded in goals, visions.
Our joy enthralls us to tending
the memories carry in stories.
After the break, shed layers of cloth,
the next task is sorting the cut.
